Overview
Sixth grade science introduces students to the topic of Earth Science. We will explore together the forces and energy created by God that have shaped the Earth's surface and affect life on our planet. 

The Units of Study are:
  • Earth's Resources
  • Plate Tectonics and Earth's Structure
  • Shaping Earth's Surface
  • Earth's Oceans and Atmosphere
  • Ecology

Weekly Science Work

  • January 26 - 30
    This week each student will be researching an individual volcano and creating a poster to share with the class. Class time will be used to work on the project, but some work will probably need to be done at home. Posters are due on Thursday.

  • January 19 - 23
    This week we will be finishing up reading Chapter 8 on volcanoes. The chapter test will be on Friday, January 23. Students will need poster board for their volcano poster. Please bring a board approximately 16 inches by 24 inches to school on or before Monday, January 26.
